Spring plates. diff between left and right?

Hi there. I have a 73 and recently purchased some later model two piece oem adjustable spring plates. I am in the process of removing the bonded-on factory bushings. (not fun). I noticed that there is a "L" on each of the spring plates. This "L" is stamped on the smaller of the two pieces (where bushing attaches). Before I take the time to remove the other bushings I wanted to make sure I don't have two lefts. I checked my early's and they have two "R"'s painted on. ?

Anyone know if these markers due in fact mean right and left as it seems?

Thanks for your help.
Scott S.

I don't know about the L, but OEM spring plates are interchangeable left and right.

I believe this is not true of the aftermarket sway a ways.
