My '76 has its original headliner, which has yellowed in spots, but is still in nice shape otherwise. It is not brittle, and there are no rips.
Has anyone had any luck cleaning up an old headliner. Maybe a mild beach solution or something like that? Thanks. |

castrol super clean will do it if it's cleanable. SEM fabric spray could be used to recolor it. it's a vinyl paint that works real well. just gotta mask everything good.

What about just some saddle soap or something along those lines? Maybe the cleaning solvents in the Lexol or Leatherique kits? I'd shy away from bleach, if it's a dyed headliner. I would say just start from mild, and work your way up.
