Identifying the leak on an SC

My 1979 SC has a slow oil drip, about 1 drop an hour. I believe the source is the small rubber hose on the left side of the engine, but I'm not sure.
If it is that hose, how hard is it for me to replace on my own?

that is a cam oil line and they do leak where the rubber and metal meet. it is not that hard to replace. pelican sells the parts, around $60-70 or so. I had to replace both mine in the last year. You need a crowfoot socket (sold at NAPA etc.) to reach the nut by the distributor and you have to take the cap/rotor off (I didn't pull the dizzy itself).

I did a little looking, and it looks like this is the correct part:
Carrera Pressure-Fed Cam Oil Line, left

The site says I will also need Oil Pipe, Camshaft Oil Line to Chain Tensioner (Left Side). Do you think it is possible to reuse my current Oil Pipe? Should I replace both left and right sides at the same time?

you can reuse the little pipe. you do need some crush washers and maybe a ferrule, which the PP site should show you. i see no reason to replace the passenger side unless it is leaking. the pass side is easier (at least if you don't have a/c) because the dizzy isn't in the way.

Thanks for the help. When I get home I'll see if this is in my 101 Projects book. I also have the Bentley manual. I'm not familiar with crush washers or ferrules... but I'm looking them up now.
