MSD 6425 Question - 1984 Porsche 911 Coupe
I am considering installing the MSD 6425 Ignition Control Box.
Do I need a tach adapter for the 1984 911? The 101 Projects book suggests adapter 8920 for 1978-1983, leaving out 1984+. Anybody out there using the Blaster Coil # 8207? Any pictures of your installation would be very much appreciated.

I have a 6425 in my '79 and didn't need a tach adapter. I'm using the 8222 Blaster High Vibration coil mounted upside down in the stock location on the fan. The High Vibration ones are the only MSD ones that can be mounted upside down without leaking.
Sorry, no good pics handy.

If you have a DME car this might not be the best idea.

I don't know how you would install this on your car. You would have to trigger it with the flywheel sensor somehow. It would take some electronics to translate the signal to something the MSD could use.
