Dude! It doesn't even take a battery, just sparks from a grinder! Perhaps it was a result of something in the metalurgy of the handcuffs?

Thanks! Didn't draw much of a crowd once the mid-engine aspect went out the window so I'm just keeping it OT. Restifying a car that was this bad may put me in the running for an Ig Nobel.
