Question Sunroof deflector broken/repair?

I just noticed that my sunroof deflector (part that pops up when the sunroof is open) was lifted up on the right side. I looked at it and there appears to be two, possibly plastic, pieces that connect to the deflector and to the car. They are about a quarter of the way in from the ends of the deflector. Both appear to be broken (no idea how). They seem very weak, but was wondering can you replace them? Glue them back? I am afraid that it will blow up in the air while driving and be only held on by the two angular arms on the ends that cause it to fold down as the sunroof closes.

One of mine (these are clips) broke as well. I glued it back with super glue, which did a semi-decent job of holding it together. Luckily, the way it broke it gets jammed together when the deflector is installed correctly. It's a cheesy fix, but I haven't had any trouble with the deflector either at speed or during operation of the sunroof.

The clip broke when re-installing my roof after I fixed one of the cables. They seem too brittle to survive this re-install (they have to be forced in, kinda). After so many years, mine just gave up.

Thats exactly what I was thinking of doing, super glue it. I will give it a shot and see how it holds up. Seems like a poor design to use plastic.

From what I remember, Stoddard sells replacement sunroof parts. I also remember that the pieces that you mention are very, very expensive!
