Curt, I noticed this car on ebay also, looks great and already at $12g+ w/ almost 9 days left! The other one looks just as good and at least is a set price. I'd rather buy one the old-fashioned way.

I really like the early cars with those steel wheels and hubcaps. It's very cool and very understated. I've looked (drooled) over those R-Gruppe photos and quite a few of the cars there now sport those wheels.

My car probably looked very similar to the eBay 71 when it was brand new. My car was built with Fuchs alloys. But the PO decided he just couldn't afford the extra $375 for the wheels, so he had the dealer remove them and install the steel wheels. A few years later, he went back and bought the Fuchs! They do give a nice vintage look though. -- Curt

eBay: it's a beautiful thing. Last time I checked on this car it had met reserve and was at $15,500 with 4 days to go. Next time I check, the seller cancelled the auction!!!!! What the ...... ?
