Porsche 911 Bra

I want to buy a bra for my '77 911S and was wondering if any of you have one that you use and who it's made by, easy to put on etc.... Who do you recommend? Model # on the bra?

Thanks a lot

I bought a genuine Porsche bra a few years ago from the man who was the co founder of Pelican here in San Diego. . Cost $100 and is a two piece. I just use the small section up on my nose. It's called TC's Garage on Facebook. In Vista Ca.

Bra

Thought i would let others know, back about 26 years ago while living in
Sacramento, i purchased a 1969 Porsche 911 in Orange, tangerine is it i think
any way it had a bra on the front nose ,and it had faded the whole nose under the bra
when i took it off, i could never get that off, it was to far gone, even after a cut and
polish it was never the same ,--so watch this especially in hot sunny enviroments
regards.

Why not consider getting the front clip (fenders, hood, bumper) done with clear film. Today's film and getting a top installer will give you hassle-free protection and be invisible.

stone guard 3M clear wrap would be my coice!

dust/dirt gets unter the bra and the cars vibration might eventually "rub" it into the paint

Be sure to read all the fine print in the directions that comes with vinyl bra. I’m not sure if this is same with all the manufacturers but some definitely will instruct you to take the bra off if it gets wet and not to let it sit in the sun wet.
The reason they say this is precisely because you don’t want the fading of the paint as described by Wayne Robson above.

Yeah I sport one once in a blue moon. Believe it is original Porsche. Doubt they are available but then few want them due to scratching and fading issues. The style below is a PITA if you need to get into the frunk. I also use a couple of micro-fiber cloths in key contact points to lessen the potential of paint abrasion.

If you use it, you must be vigilant about keeping it and your car scrupulously clean.

iPhone shot making the car look mean.

here is better look at it
I personally like this one and i use it i just have it better installed then this pic.Mine has 2 pieces as on the diagram above.Plus it comes with mirrors covers.
To avoid any paint problem you do not need to use the bra all the time or leave it on the car .

I have one that came with the car. Use to use it on long trips and take if off when I was done. Used the hood guard the most

Bras are more of a hassle than they are worth. They will cause more harm to your paint than not having one on.
I guess if you just want to put one on for a show, just to have the retro look, OK. But otherwise they are a waste of time IMO. HBTDT.

I have had the small portion hood guard on my 911 for years. No problem I do remove it if it rains. No big deal. We get only 10 inches a year. My car is black so you hardly see it. I clean my car every other day so the car is OK. The clear type bra members are talking about cost hundreds of dollars. My high quality two piece Porsche bra was just over $100. Probably 5 years ago. I use my Porsche bra to guard against rock chips on my hood. Really not a waste of time.

same with me it saved my front on long journey trough-out Europe plenty of stones bounced of the front portion of the bra.
And yes i agree it is not waste of time to put it on.If you do not fell to have it on just take it of.The skin clear will not save the hood from stones...
Ivan

afterall it is everybody choise;-)

The key here is, "I clean my car every other day..."
