Wayne!! Please Help.
I’ve posted these questions a couple of times in the past but never received an answer I felt comfortable with.
Since you sell the 911 dash trim pieces, I thought for so sure you would have some good answers. My dash trim pieces have some holes cut in them from the previous owner. I need to know how to do the following: 1) Best way to remove the old dash trim pieces (just pull after switches are removed)? 2) Best way to adhere new trim pieces? What does Porsche recommend using for glue? Does 3M make something? 3) Best way to remove gas filler cap release knob? Does this item just thread on? How do you keep the cable from binding? I would really appreciate any assistance you can give me. Thanks! :D |

I haven't removed these pieces before, so my knowledge in this area is somewhat limited. However, on my 914 and other cars, I use the 3M superweatherstrip adhesive, and it works very well. I think that these are simply glued on, and should pull right off...
I think that the gas cap knob simply screws on... Hope this helps, Wayne |
Thanks Wayne!
I plan to pull them off over the weekend. I'll let you know how it turns out. :D |
