Reiver - I am interested in this as well. I will watch for pics of your progress if you choose to try that route.

Uncle, that should happen in the early fall along with the panels and the door check strap fix and vitaloni mirror addition. I'll take pics if I can make that strap deal work well.

Don't forget that the switches and wiring add a little weight. And, the later style manual regulators are even lighter.

There are at least 2 versions of the pivot pin, with different orientations. I haven't looked for them on Pelican but I'd assume they can get the right one for your car. I'd give them a call. Sometimes their parts are hard to find in a search.

Jeff

Yes, there are two versions of the pin, (pelican parts # Pel 910393 and Pel 910394) but according to the Pelican Parts Tech Staff only one (pel 910393) has the screw on the end, and it is of the wrong orientation to the pivot pin on my regulator. I guess I'll goggle it and see who has the right pivot.

Maybe the screw is not necessary. I took a look at one of my old regulators and it appears that the spring can't move away from the regulator body because of a small lip at the end that hooks around the regulator. So, the pin has nowhere to go, as the spring keeps it from moving, and it doesn't seem to need a screw.

There were several versions of the parallel arm regulator. Maybe another version lacked this little tab, I don't know.

I'd order the pin with the correct orientation and try it. Worst case, you have to drill and tap a hole...
