Has anyone dealt with Karrera on e-bay?
I bid and won an auction for a 911 tail from this fellow. He required payment in 48 hours. I did credit card payment through billpoint. Seller is now telling me he does not accept billpoint even though it was an optional payment, and the only way I could pay within 48 hours. He would not respond to my e-mails to get his mailing address to overnight him a check.
This fellow has other Porsche stuff for sell and I am hoping someone on this board has dealt with him before and I am not being taken. |

You are willing to pay for it before seeing it?? Not me. You have one of two poss situations....
1. The guy did not get enough $$ for the car and is trying to be difficult. 2. He wants your $$ before you see the car. EDIT- I missed "tail" from the post... nevermind.

Drew-
I've not dealt with him, so no help there. I would do a couple of things. first, check his feedback and see what experience others have had with him. if there is negative feedback, that raises red flags in my mind. second, he may have good reasons for not accepting billpoint (fees, etc.) so I would not read too much into that. however, you'll want to make sure that you as the buyer are protected. I would try and do some other credit card payment so that if something does go wrong, you can have the credit card company reverse the payment. A lot easier than trying to get cash back from a deadbeat seller (I'm NOT suggesting that he is one, just my experience in other situations.) hope this helps (a little)
