Rear Deck Lid Question...

I'm looking a a '71 was was updated many years ago. It has a whale tail and rear reflector. In order to correct this, can any pre-90 rear decklid be used? I have an '87 lid, but I have never messed with a long hood car before.

Thanks.

They are all the same dimensions and technically will fit, but the longhood engine lids had various emblems attached by means of a hole drilled in the lid and the emblem attached with a retaining clip. They also had the license plate light in the lid. Later models had them in the rubber pieces on the bumper.
