Is there no orifice tube on these systems ??
If so..... where is it ?? |
All Porsche AC systems up to this point in time have expansion valves (TEV) with driers, rather than orifice tubes with accumulators.

Odd day:
I added 2 cans of the freon "substitute" and went for a drive. Was getting 52 at the vent when it was approx 90 out. Came home and added one more (the apparent correct amount) and it went to 65 at the vent ????? Checked pressures and it was 50 low side and 220 high, at 1000rpm. I guessed that i added one can to many so i let some out but couldent get the origional temps? I then sucked it all out and vacuum once again. I put one can in and went for a drive........49 at the vent(took a while to ge there). Is it safe to run with one can of this poop? I seem to get the coldest temps with one can ??? One can = 1.1 lbs of r12 PS : temp rises quickly when at idle and not moving. Gets to approx 75ish. |
