Any scissor lift sellers in the Los Angeles area? Shipping costs are $$$!
I'm finally ready to buy a scissor lift for my garage. AAE has their PMR6XT on sale for $995, but shipping to SoCal is $375!
![]() http://www.americanautomotiveequipment.com/UnitedProducts-PMR6-Two-Post-Lift-p/pmr6xt.htm Is there any place in the Los Angeles area that stocks a lift like this so I can pick one up, or any place that ships them directly from China? AAE ships them from China to their warehouse on the east coast, then ships to me...very inefficient. Harbor frieght only charges $95 for shipping, but their scissor lifts are forever on backorder. Also, if anyone has a used scissor lift for sale in the LA area, let me know! Thanks, Last edited by jkarolyi; 05-04-2012 at 08:54 AM.. |

jay,
Yes, AAE take very long to ship and expensive shipping to CA. Nice people, but take over 2 months already. There is a guy in Orange County I talked to, beat costco price. I has some quotes from him, cheap, but not as cheap as AAE on 4 poles. I should have ordered it from him. Give him a try. Garage Equipments: Marco 800-261-7729 zippy_gg, if you call, with AAE, it's always cheaper.

Even at $995 plus $375, that's a great price for a 55-inch lift.

The deal is only good until 5PM central time...less than 1 hour from now! I'd call their 800 number to order to make sure you get in on it.
UnitedProducts PMR6 Two-Post Lift If you sign up with their email list, they send you deals about once a week, but this is the best deal I've seen so far. Wayne, I would love a Bend Pak, will contact you shortly! Thanks, Jay |

Just my experience in buying a scissor lift.................
The model i wanted was a scissor lift , like this : ![]() It's a movable scissor lift , that weight 600 kgs , but its price .........2500 euros. Huh !!! Many similars models models made me thinking that there was only one builder. I 've done hard search for finally founding the factory of these scissors lifters : Location : China , near Shanghai. The contact with the seller was really friendly , he talked French perfectly without translator , and the price.........900 euros. Final cost with shipping & customs taxes is 1300 euros , delivered at Marseille .

Off course, being made up-here they had them in stock as oppose to wait for the ship to come in for China, for details see post 15 of http://www.liftsuperstore.com/products/lifts-promotions/item/11-promotions/41-mid-rise-special-179500. What happened to the Supply Chain deliver on time crap... I did experience that type of delivery for my 17" Euromeister wheel. No matter how long the wait is, it will be worth it ![]()

Still have not. I talked to them several times, same reason as yours. I can wait, since it's not that important and my garage is not ready either, but it's frustrated when they keep promissing several weeks after another.

4 posts seem to take up a lot more space, and are not portable at all.
Still no idea who stocks these lifts in the SoCal area? Can't believe nobody does. |

Pelicanites BEWARE!!!
FYI...this company (American Auto Equipment) has not delivered a lift ordered in May 6, 2012. They won't return my last email and every phone call I place with them gets disconected. Time to deal with my credit card company. |
