Engine Number Derived Info ?
 
A Carrera I am about to purchase that has had an engine change.
Can anyone confirm any details from the engine number as advised by PPI shop ?

ENGINE No : *64G 02492*

85-86 3.2

The G indicates an 86 3.2 engine. It is a 930/21 type, rated at 207 HP

6 = 6 cyl
4 = USA Carrera
G = 1986
02492 = consecutive build number

To clarify....my answer was meant to be built, 85-86 for model year 86. Not huge difference from the model year of your tub.
