1976 911S no spark

I have a 1976 911S that has not run in a while but ran great last time it ran. I went to try and start it the other day as I'm putting it up for sale. It turns over like it should and I am getting plenty of fuel but no spark after lots of work with test lights and meters I have found power at the CDI but after that no power at the coil should I be able to find power at the coil? if so where when and how much? Also is there a way to tell if the CDI is functioning (CDI does make humming noise)? is there also a way to test the coil? Thanks in advance for the help.
PS if your looking for a Porsche 911 project this one is for sale I posted it in the classifieds section.

Remove the distributor cap and clean/gap the points. Then, have somone try to start the car in the dark while you look for arcs across the old ignition wires.
