MFI Fuel Filter Housing
I'm just in the process of changing my fuel filter (screw on type)
And loking under the housing, I notice some type of screen -maybe a filter? over the outlet for the fuel return pipe. If I try to blow through this pipe it seems to be almost totally blocked. Does anyone know if this is normal , and what the 'screen' is for? |

This thing you are talking about looks like a bunch of metal particles sintered together, right? This is absolutely normal, based on having taken two of them apart. It's some kind of an internal screen, perhaps to prevent bubbles in the return?
I bet that Herr Roland Kunz knows the answer to this.
