Heater Ducting

The long 50 mm duct tube that passes over the top of the fan housing..from the blower fan to the hose and joins to the larger dia duct tube that comes up from under the car and joins to the heat exchanger on the RHS. On my car the smaller dia duct is pushed into the larger duct just up inside the engine compartment. Is there supposed to be a metal reducer between the two sized duct tubes ? Its not really a snug fit as it is.

Hmmmm - Two are required - one at each end. Let me get the diagram.

Edit - FWIW - Diverter is metal.

Well that must be the same piece both have the same # in the diagram ( which is great ) Is it from the Porsche parts book ? I need to get one for the connection through the engine compartment.

Which one of these hoses is the long one that goes across the top fan shroud for an Ac car?
