Does Pelican Jack Adapter work with G50

I have a Pelican jack adapter made for the later cars (no sump plate). I used it to remove the engine + G50 transmission fom my 88 Carrera last weekend. It fits the engine well, but doesn't balance properly. I guess because a G50 is heavier than a 915, it tips forward intead of backward, so the tilt adjustment is useless and the airbox tends to hit the engine compartment.

Any tricks or do I just have to get a second person to keep it from tipping forward? I really hate that I can't do it by myself like I used to with 915 cars.
