Airetek intake systems?

I was thinking of replacing the airbox on my 84 Carrera with one of the Airetek intake systems, anyone have any comments or suggestions? Alternatives?

I did a search for airetek since Pelican carries them. This is the only thread that comes up in the 911 forum and it's from 2002. These things must not work? Ditto on the OP's question?

No way do they fit on a 3.2.

Call Pelican directly, I was given an option of buying a bigger air filter and drilling out the air box. Also I think the website mentions some fiddling that needs to be done to fit on a 3.2

Oh boy... Doesn't this defeat the whole purpose of a CAI? since that's where alllll the engine heat is and you are just slapping on a filter that would suck in hot air.

That's where the snorkel intake is anyways.

The opinion around here seems to be that they sound good, nothing else.
