Need help with correct rear fender groove/s
Hi,
I am restoring my '86 930 Turbo and need inputs from you guys re: my rear fender lip shape. This is original metal w/o filler. Right rear fender looks ok. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1342416172.jpg However, the left rear fender looks kinda strange. (look at the lip). http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1342416212.jpg Does this look normal? Is left really a little different from right? Should I "fix" the left portion with filler? Appreciate inputs from experts here. Thank you. |
Dunno about the 'groove' but the lip looks weird....
|
Sorry if I don't have the proper word. I guess I mean lip.
|
there might be some repair work done but not to many people compare side to side, i think it is ok, unless it drives you crazy! then fix it.
|
It's too sharp. The transition should be more rounded.
|
Thanks for the replies.
Already told my painting guy to repair it :) |
You said it was an 86? When did they change the torsion tube holes? I thought they didn't do that until 89 to allow for the g50 trans?
|
Yes, Euro (ROW) '86
Sorry, no idea on torsion tube holes. |
