I got a big problem with oil leaks coming from the engine breather.
Itīs a 2.7 911 Targa 1974 I've changed pistons rings (for recommendation) too expensive fix and still leaking oil. Have somebody a guide to fix it? Do some one knows whatīs happening? In Mexico is to hard to find Porscheīs good mechanics. Regards Cadavieco |

on my CIS 1977 it could be
- engine oil thermostat O-ring leaking - dashboard idiot low oil psi light sender on top of engine at flywheel end can leak [your 1974 may be same] - oil breather housing gasket leaking on top of engine under CIS - small diameter oil drain hose from bottom of CIS airbox to flywheel end of engine could be disconnected if you place a floor jack under engine then remove two engine mounting bolts at rear of engine on mounting plate the engine can be lowered a small amount. This engine lowering should allow you room to get into the top of the engine so you can search for where the oil leak is coming from

I have a 76s that I have just removed the Cis system and found leaks in the following as the post above
engine oil thermostat O-ring leaking - oil breather housing gasket leaking on top of engine under CIS - small diameter oil drain hose from bottom of CIS airbox to flywheel end of engine loose And breather hose from oil tank to under Cis system. So it,s very worth while checking , tighting all of these items and replace the gasket on the oil breather housing
