Oil cooler opening screens

Hey guys, my wife has purchased an FS-R front valance to go on my '82SC as a birthday gift for me. Where should I start looking to find a screen to cover the oil cooler opening? One of the regulars on this board cut an old engine lid grill to fit his opening. It does look great but there must be something else to use that might be easier and still look good. Any ideas? TIA

I'd suggest something other than the galvanized chicken wire or expanded metal found at hardware stores. Pegasus Racing carries some stainless steel mesh in three sizes. This material is stiff enough to prevent a direct stone hit from penetrating into the cooler; something the galvanized mesh can't do.

Cut apart an old 914 engine lid - good material there. You can also buy that material at McMasterCarr.com

I have a custom screen (very high quality) for an RS front spoiler (as well as a fiberglass cover for it). I'm not sure which spolier you got though. I bought these to cover the whole on my RS nose and then decided to change the whole thing, By the way, the bumper spoiler is for sale also.
