Targa Top to WIndshield seal- autopartsway.ca

hello all,

I have done a fair bit of searching over the last year or so. I'm sick of wet carpets after a major downpour. Water appears to leak in just above the front quarter glass on both sides.

The main seal along the top and down the A-pillars looks quite tired.

I know there is a guru advertised on here who makes a favorable replacement due to Porsche listing this part which is 964 spec and; therefore, requires some brave cutting and creativity to fit.

I discovered a very reasonably priced seal on a Canadian auto parts supplier. I order from these guys often and really enjoy the fast shipping and lack of additional fees as with many US suppliers. Could anybody throw their suggestions as to what they think?

The only place to get the correct seal is Vintage Porsche Parts and Targa Tops for Porsche

The only workable seal that I have found for the Targa is from Dan Pechel.

Order your parts to come in to Blaine WA (Mail Boxes International) and Pick them up there.

If you pickup gas across the border as well you pay for the trip and not have to pay the $40.00 brokerage fees.

Thanks guys! I got in contact with him. He will ship VIA USPS which can avoid the additional fees.

I have used a shipping location in Blaine before with great success, but that was when I ordered many parts for not just myself, but friends as well. I will consider.

Has anybody fitted the 964 style seal?
