Help with terrible engine sound, (clonking?), maybe left side...

I am looking for some help diagnosing a terrible engine sound. Below are the specifics.

1976 911 Targa (2.7), been standing still for a couple of years.

A bit of time has been put into it making it driveable. brakes, electrics and so forth. It has been driven 20 – 30 miles in the past 2 weeks without any unusual noises or issues.

However after taking it for a 3 minute spin ( not a spin around the track. a nice drive with children in the car ) when starting it again 45 minutes later a terrible clonking sound from what it seems the left part of the engine appeared.

Need help in diagnosing and what the issue and remedy might be. I have not had the valve covers off nor the covers for the timing chains/tensioners. The engine pulled strongly prior to this noise. After hearing the noise the car was towed home.

Here is a link to a video clip where you can hear the noise.

thanks in advance....
