Window Adjustment...

I just did the window regulator spring post fix that Nader posted last week. To do that you have to detach the electric motor from the regulator while it's still in the door. Re-installing the motor tried all my patience, and then some.

The driver's door glass stops just at the rubber wipe molding, however the passenger window goes 3/4" below the rubber wipe. Bentley's shows how you can adjust the travel of the glass both up and down... One problem I had was the supposedly adjustment bolt was not lined up in the door panel hole, so I took my die grinder so I could get at it. There is no adjustment to that bolt and stop, it's fixed.

Anybody know how I can adjust the downward travel of the window glass. The window travel is really improved since installing the spring post that had gone away. I don't know where the glass stopped before, but I would like to adjust it w/o having to take the whole business out again.

Thanks,
