I have purchased new rubber (boots/hoses into air box), gaskets and an o-ring as I think my CIS air box is leaking somewere.
Before I start, Is it hard to remove this with the engine in the car ? How hard is it to fit the new rubber boots on on the right ride (underneath)? does anyone have any tips ? |

the complete intake assembly must be removed as a unit, in order to replace the boots. see if any of the little screws that are inside and outside the airbox are half way out or missing, which usually means that the airbox seperated due to a backfire and now leaks air at the seam. if you remove it, make sure you account for every nut and washer so none of them slip down an intake port into a cylinder. wouldn't be the first time. then check the ports again and rotate the engine a few times before you reassemble.
