Question Yes, I drilling through it. But a question first

Just received my Autopower roll bar with removable cross bar and harness brace. I plan on installation this as well as my Schroth harnesses this weekend. It gets me out of shopping with the wife. Anyways, I will drill (cringe) holes through my holeless SC to install the roll bar with the backing plates, measuring three times and drilling once.

Is there a recommended rust prohibitor or something I should put on the metal where I drill the holes? Where can i pick it up without having to wait 2 weeks for shipping? My SC doesn't have a spec of rust and I don't want to start now.

Any tips from those who installed the Autopower roll bar are appreciated. It looks pretty straight forward.

POR-15 is great. I can get it OTC here in Sacramento, YMMV.

Ordinary rattle-can paint works wonders when applied correctly.

You are worring waaaayyy too much. The amount of metal exposed is just the very edges of the hole. Just use some quick drying touch up paint around the bare metal edge. You can also shoot a little bit of undercoating around it prior to tightening. Good choice on the bar, that and the Schroth belts is what I use on mine.
