Distributor: US VS. Euro 911 3.0SC
Would like to know the differences between a US and Euro (1982 3.0 SC) distributor - can I put a Euro distributor is a US motor with US electronics and will I be good to go? Thanks.

The Euro distributors only had vac advance, no retard like some US versions. A standard non-rev limiter rotor will work just fine on a Euro distributer. I believe the distributer on my Euro 930/09 has about 4 more degrees of advance than a US version.

You can install it in a US 3.0l, I run one in fact. There is no mechanical limiter in the 80-83 euro SC distributor, the real difference is as mentioned above, the lack of vacuum retard for emissions. The curve is also slightly higher on the advance past about 3k RPM's which is a very nice match for my particular engine.
