Euro Mahle piston/cyl set for 3.2 OK on 91 octane?

Can I safely use the Euro 3.2 P&C set with 91 octane gas, (calif. oxygenated)?

Not unless you convert to dual spark plugs! The compression ratio with those pistons is 10.3:1, nominally, and the 930/20 engine requires 98 RON octane fuel in Europe!!! That would be equivalent to about 95 CLC octane, and how long has it been since you saw any of that for sale in CA?
