AppBiz Door Panels (Do it Yourself)

I really like the the AppBiz door panels and read nothing but glowing reviews here. However, I want a color other than black as my interior is Can Can Red. I was rather disappointed when I was told by AppBiz that they wouldn't do a set in my color. They then offered me a Do it Yourself kit. While that's a great idea, I just don't think I could do it properly. And since I live in the boondocks, I'm not so sure anyone local to me could do them.

Is there anyone you could recommend to do a set of these for me in my color? I'm thinking I could have them shipped from Appbiz to some upholsterer than after they are done sent to my place.

Any advice?

I have a marine blue interior and AppBiz doesn't do blue. I bought a couple of yards of the color I wanted and sent it to AppBiz. They made the door panels and sent them to me with the left over material. Worked out great. Call them for details like how many yards to buy. I ordered my material through a local upholstery shop. There is always a way to get things done.

If you have a jigsaw and a staple gun then it's worth a try. They are actually quite easy to make if you have some patience.

The DIY kit is very good and even comes with a template to do the door card itself.

Other than the kit itself the cost of materials is very reasonable.
