2.4T w/ cis

I would like to modify a 2.4T with CIS. I am considering 2.2S P/C's and heads. Can the CIS system be modified for the increased power, or does it have to be replaced with MFI or carbs? What about the cams? All input will be appreciated!

Thanks!
BK

CIS has the unfortunate requirement of specific pistons and cams. The system cannot tollerate much in the way of power pulses.
If you are looking to increase power I would not use CIS. That system was developed solely for emmisions and is not very tunable.
Carbs have always worked well for your application, and there are many who prefer MFI.
If I were doing it I would go with EFI. Modern, very tunable, simple, and about as expensive as a set of PMOs.

Thanks, Rarly! Exactly what I was afraid of!
