Roof transport buying advice for Fuchs or bicycle?

I need to get some sort of roof transport to occasionally haul a bicycle. Also, a local PCA club racer may be selling a set of Fuchs soon that I may purchase for DE use. I'll need some sort of means to haul those wheels/tires to the track.

I've tried browsing info here and beyond and am unclear what the best option is for these purposes, or exactly what components I'd need to purchase to put together a system to meet these needs.

I am gathering that I should focus on Thule products but need to know what components I'll need, etc. any guidance would be appreciated.

Standard Thule or Yakima gutter mount feet will work fine. If you can get a pair of standard height feet and a pair of taller feet to put in the rear, that'd be the best as the roof gets lower in the rear. The separate heights are not necessary though - I have standard height Thule gutter mount feet on all four corners and it works fine.

I would buy whatever I could get most affordably including whatever attachments I needed. . .

If you end up with a system that places the wheel anywhere near the engine be sure to reduce tire pressure in the wheel to prevent blowout. We'd gone 110 psi for a local crit and my tire absolutely blew up behind us. Just about soiled our kit!
