Mini Evaporative Cooler for your 911

It really works ....

Mini Evaporative Cooler - Air Conditioning for your 911, it really works

It has been a long hot summer so far. We are lucky in Wyoming with the heat because our relative humidity stays so low. As I was repairing our evaporative cooler at our summer cabin I thought to myself, "I wonder if anyone makes an evaporative cooler, 12 volt that would fit in a car". Well with one Google search I found Jack Stich in Mesa, AZ and he indeed makes such an item. I ordered the MW2 kit from him and installed it in my 70 E over the weekend. It works perfectly and makes drives in the old 911 much more comfortable. The air is not R134 cool but it is pretty nice, generally you can expect a 20 degree temperature drop as long as the relative humidity is less than 20%. So with 90 degree ambient air like we had this weekend, 70 degree air coming out of the hoses at 200 cfm is a welcome relief. Here are a few pictures during installation day. The unit as shown strapped down in the backseat holds a half gallon of water and that will last about three hours. For power the cord is 9' long and plugs into the cigarette lighter. There is an auxiliary water container you can purchase with the unit and it siphons another gallon of water into the unit, so between the two it would hold enough water for nine hours of air conditioning use. I fashioned two hooks to hold the hoses anywhere in the car using some utility velcro straps and the cut off ends from a worn out bungee cord.

Jack is super helpful if you call and order you will talk directly to him, and I am a very happy customer, this is a great little add on for a vintage car, bringing cool air into the cabin and making long drives slightly more bearable in the summer heat.

!Portable 12-Volt Air Conditioners & Swampy Evaporative Coolers.

From the website --- !Portable 12-Volt Air Conditioners & Swampy Evaporative Coolers.

The MightyKool Model MW1, MW2 or the WIN are the answer if you want the Coolest Air from an Evaporative Cooling System for your Camper, Boat, or even Vehicle Sleeper in the Dryer Climates of the World. The Secret to the Cooling System of these three is the single Custom Smart Cooling Filter Pad! For HUMID areas consider the MW2 with the Flex Hose Kit or one of the "Ice Water" models if providing ventilation is not possible.

You will appreciate the small versatile size of the MW1 or the MW2 unless you think something must be large to be worth the money! Our engineers designed this System to produce more cool air than any other comparable system that is up to five times larger. Engineers didn't design the Jet Engine to be larger than Piston Engines, just more powerful. Dimensions

You do not typically need the MW2, even though it has 15 to 20% more power unless you are considering the Flex Hose Kit as the MW1 or WIN will do all you need for cooling you in most boats, tents or campers in dry climates. Just plug in the The 10 foot power cord and add water.

The single Custom Cooling Pad inside is the reason the MW1 Cools! Therefore it should be changed every two to four hundred hours, or at least once a season, so that you may continue to enjoy Cooler Air than any other portable Evaporative Cooler including our own Swampy Models.

The Internal water container of the MW1 holds from one to three hours of cooling, however it also has an Automatic Filling System through a float. If it is quite humid you might consider leaving the water out and use the MW1 as a energy efficient fan as there is enough moisture in the air that the fan would feel quite refreshing.
The float may be connected to an external water source like our Water Kit if you do not want to add water every one to three hours. To top this off you can also operate the MW1 in your home on 110-volts with the optional AC/DC Converter. You may wish to consider looking at these inexpensive Options as Shipping & Handling is included Free with your original order. MW1 Options

WINTER USE: We have people use them all winter long to help increase humidity in an enclosed environment, which lowers the heating bills and aids comfort, just like any humidifier.

Using powerful Twin Brushless Double Ball Bearing Motors this Model merely sips power while streaming cool crisp air where & when you need it. The Twin Motors have the capacity to produce over 200 cubic feet per minute (cfm) at a velocity of 2,000 feet per minute with a noise level of 59 dBA on high speed, which is the same as typical human voice dBA. If you can visit while riding in a commercial jet aircraft, you can easily visit while enjoying the MightyKool's cool air or let it hum you to sleep. You can adjust the level of power you prefer with the three-speed switch.

Just remember to thoroughly DRY OUT your Porsche before the mould and mildew begins to form. A 1500W heater overnight with the windows lowered slightly should do the trick.

We use these all the time in Arizona in light airplanes. Work very well as long as the humidity is not very high.
