Fuel Injector cleaner on the '86 motronic system??
It seems like I'm experiencing problems w/ what I belive is dirty fuel injectors.... My car starts tough when it's been sitting for a day or so, acts like it's not getting fuel. Once I start it it's good for the rest of the day, it'll pop right off. The batter is strong etc etc...
Can I put in the fuel injection cleaner into this type of engine??

I used Berryman B-12 Chemtool in a tank of gas sometime last year. My car gets limited drive time as it's not a daily driver, so the stuff stayed in the tank/injectors for a while. I took off the exhaust system a couple of weeks ago and I was pleasantly surprised to see how clean the exhaust valves look. I didn't recall them looking as clean when I had the motor out of the car the year before last. Hopefully the injectors faired as well!!!

Thanks...I'm pretty sure that's what it is...I hope.  I just wanted to make sure it was safe to put that stuff into these Motronic '911 engines? |
