Hi , I have a porsche targa 1970 2.2t with a merilli distributor, I'm trying to do the timing but can't seem to move the distributor to get the correct timing , I have loosened the nut and a smaller securing nut but still won't move , is it just stuck , thanks . Pud

Sounds like it's seized to the engine casing. Shoot some WD40 on it and see if it will free up.

I had to use a little slap hammer with a hook on the end of it once. A little tap hammer also might free it up.

Just be careful as it will mark up the dist housing.

Perhaps running the engine a bit to warm it up might help free it?
