84 Carrera wiring - engine bay question

I am working on an 84 Carrera for a friend. Car was purchased with a 930 engine. Engine had some issues and I just rebuilt the top-end, warmed it over and have converted to EFI.

I am currently at the mercy of the PO and wiring from the engine swap.

There is a red wire that is clipped just forward of the engine panel. It is continuous with the lower #3 position on the 3-pole fuse block on the engine panel and also continuous with the 14 pin connector position 13 (or 14). This should be a 12V switched wire and I need the 12V switch to turn-on my EFI relay and power everything.

Can anyone confirm there should be a 12V swtiched wire coming through the main harness in the engine bay? I am concerned that the wire would have originally come from the 3.2 Motronic harness which has been removed.

I do not currently have a Bently manual to verify. I have one available but it is not in my hands currently.

Any suggestions where to pull 12V swtiched? I will run a new wire if I have to but would rather not be taking the carpet apart to access the tunnel.

The motronic harness removes as a complete harness, there shouldnt be any leftovers.

Thanks Bruce, I am aware of this.

After digging through the wiring diagrams in the Bentley manual I have found the following.

1. the 3 pole fuse block in the engine bay has 3 12V hot fuses. None are 12V switched.
2. The only 12V switched wire I can find in the engine bay is pin 12 on the heater relay.

I will be using pin 12 on the heater relay to power up my EFI relay board.
