Engine grille backdate

I'm restoring a '69 911E. It has the one year only 3 bars engine grille. The original grill has the studs bent, with many scratches, so i need to replace it, but it's impossible to get a new one.

So i figured out something. I don't knwo if it works. Maybe somebody can help.

On the '69 3 bar version and the 70-73 5 bar version the studs look the same for me. The 5 bar version is available. SO i thought i buy a 5 bar version, i remove the studs from it and repleca the old studs on my 3 bars grille. Will it work? Are these studs identical?
