Porsche Crest Parking Brake Problem.

I have replaced the brake shoes and all hardware and rotors/drums in the back. I have adjusted the adjusters until they just start to drag and have adjusted the cables equally in the window. At four clicks the handle is tight. But on an incline the car still roles.I just can't seem to figure out what is wrong. Any help would be Great. Thanks.

Are you sure that the shoes on both sides of the car are are making contact when you pull the lever? There is some sort of equalization gizmo in there near/under the lever that will provide equal cable pressure to both sides. If that's not adjusted correctly, possibly only one side is actually providing brakes.

Are the both pivot points on the front end of your pads in the proper slots on the expanders? That's really the only other spot that requires any kind of alignment. The one on the inside is difficult to see and I imagine that if they weren't seated in there properly it could cause some issues.

When I recently did mine, I adjusted the brakes so that the wheels just stopped turning by hand and then backed them off by four teeth of the star wheel. At that point the wheels turned without any dragging whatsoever. Even with this adjustment, I don't think that my e-brake handle even makes four clicks when applying it, unless I really pull it hard.

This thread shows how the connections to the lever work with the equalizer bar.

Thanks for info. I did not know that the cable had a bracket holding it to the swingarm. Mine must be gone. I will make one. Thanks again.
