Hello everyone. I just purchase a older 911 and want to restore / build this car to my specs. I pull all the numbers off the car. My plans is to go from a 2.7 im guessing this the engine in the car to a 3.6 turbo. Below are the numbers off the car. Im guess the dealership I got the car from ( just sitting in the back) has no idea of the year of the car. Please can I have some help identifying the specs for the car.

Car Vin : 9115100571
Engine: 9011011027R
Engine : 6551130 911/44
Trans : 7332335

They sold you a car without knowing the year model? That basic info should be on the title... There is a title right?

In GA , you have a bill of receipt for cars older then 1980. So I have to fill out a form (T22), then get a police officer in my county to verify the vin etc. Then once I get the registration then apply for the title . They have on the bill of sale 1977. So my plan is to identify the car year etc. Then go back up there get the bill of sale corrected then travel the path of getting the title etc. I called DMV and verified everything. I wish GA didnt allow folks to do that. I figured a dealership would have the title, tell I didn't receive the title in the mail. I bought the car back in November , assuming title would come via mail as they do with newer cars.. So thanksgiving and christmas holiday pass, I figure the mail or the dealership was running slow because of that. January comes nothing. So , I call them and dmv and they told me thats the process. crazyness.

I believe that 911 510 0571 is a 1975 Coupe

6 55 1130 is a 6cyl 911S California motor 1130 is the production number

Others may know more

if you open the trunk and check if it has a brake booster, It's a big round thing under the brake fluid holder, usually those come on 1977 and later cars, good luck

Interesting.... I'm sure you will piece it all together. Lots of smart folks here to help you... I'm not one of them. Glad to help just not very smart.

Others are better with specs.

I'll say this though: Welcome to the forum. You look like you've got the start of a great project that I think I'll enjoy following.

Thanks everyone. Still dont know the engine.. I guess its 2.7 and 915 transmission. So Im searching around looking for a 3.6 powerplant. I see all the ebay listing (below). But I see a few people that have conversion kits. Which one do you guys have experience with and who has a good rep on engine builds.. Are there any issue I may run into with a 3.6 in a 75.. I see patrick says the pulley may have issues..
