Due to the highly subversive nature of our "mission", I'd rather not say.
Muhahahahaha!!

Doug? I did hear a rumor that your leader is soon to begin another mission. He now wants to get good at shooting pool...
And that is a noble pursuit.

We seem to have our bases well covered in Ohio. Very stealthy, Eric.

Can I join the SCWDP? I have recently been converted from an 89 Carrera Coupe to a 79 SC. I love all the threads about increasing the performance from 3.0 engines. Mine is worked significantly and still uses CIS. I swear these cars are bullet proof.

Matt -

Even though I am a member of the SCWDP I've got to admit your engine looks great! Every time a see a powder coated fan like yours it makes me want to go out and tear mine apart and do the same. BTW, the black rubber stoppers in the red stacks are a nice touch too.

Doug,

I wish that was my engine! That pic was taken by Jack Olsen at Cambria.

This is my engine. Pretty tame, eh?

Porsche Crest MFIWDP

SC's are great cars and their owners love them.

But remember that the 935's, 917's etc. were all Mechanical Fuel Injection cars. Kugelfisher or Bosch.

The history of Porsche's domination of world sports car racing for the last four decades is largely a history of the domination of Mechanical Fuel Injection.

Every rip of an early MFI T, E, S, RS or RSR to 7000 rpm is a mechanical homage to these cars.

Hence, MFI owners do not seek to dominate the world: we have already done it.

THe MFI hot engine resides in a 1969 912 shell...and I mean shell! 1860 pounds, 360-380 horses, depending on exhaust installed at the time. Twin Turbos are hot?

I have a question. Some of those race machines had turbos AND mechanical injection, right?

How the heck did they manage that with no airflow sensors???
