Closer yet, the engine will drop. + 1 question
My buddy helped me with the 930 last night and we got the CV joints off and the hard oil line. It actually went easy with a buddy hold the wheel from turning. Anyway I can't find the speedo sender. I was told and I believe correctly that it is just above the passenger CV joint. I have what appears to be a stiff wire that runs directly into the tranny case. There does not appear to be a removable connector. I know that would be assinine so what am I missing? Before you laugh, it was my best friend helping me and I don't get to spend much time with him so we were pretty deep into the Miller time and I wouldn't be surprised if I missed something.

the connector is in the tunnel by the shift coupler. unplug it, push the firewall grommet out, and pull the wiring thru towards the trans. the sensor stays on the trans.

The line plugged into the side of your tranny should be the backup lamp. Yes, at first, it doesn't look like it's a connector, but in fact it is. It's a little stubby connector for each wire. If you pull on the wire, it should come out. If the connector gets stuck in the tranny (often does), then you can just pluck it out with a pair of needlenose pliers, and resolder it onto the line later on...
