Unused bracket under engine
 

Can anyone tell me what this bracket is for? It's on a mostly stock 3.2 engine. I have never really payed attention to or even noticed this before. I'm not missing anything obvious and the areas that would have something mounted are dirty and don't look like anything has been there for a while...

I have noticed an occasional tinny sounding vibration when pulling away from a stop or at low rpm parking lot kind of speeds. I think this might be the culprit. The bracket is kind of wobbly and I could see it vibrating against the heat exchangers. If I flick it with my finger it will do just that. It goes up and over the HE and continues on to attach to the case or some other hard part.
