Not starting when put through car wash I put my 87 911 through the car wash the other day and when they were done, it wouldn't start. I have new Magnecors, and there was a guy there who checked the spark, and it was fine. Something obviously got wet. Eventually, after sitting in the sun, it started; in fact, it started as soon the the AAA flat-bed driver came! Veronica must have gotten scared. What other possibilities would explain the problem? This is not the first time it has happened. A month or so ago, we had heavy rains and it wouldn't start until the next morning. Any help is much appreciated. Serge PS, I tried searching using various phrase but nothing came back similar to this. |

You're a brave man to admit you drove your car to a car wash - now sit still while we all thrash you for doing so was this a touchless? did it wash the underside of the car (jets pointing UP) |

Wires are new Magnecors. I usually wash her by hand but was running late for other stuff. I'll check the dizzy cap; I believe it's the original cap. Bringing it to my guy, Kevin at KMW Motorsports in Boca, on Wednesday for a couple of other things....both window switches for the passenger window broke at the same time last night. (:-(( |
