Question Oregon mechanic....

I'm planning on driving my beloved SC to BC (Canada) this July for the Rain Forest Round Up. In my planning, I'm trying to put together a list of mechanics along the way, just in case I have any problems I can't solve.

I have the map and directions to JW's shop in Washington, but my Oregon list only has Steve W's in Portland. Can any of you from the great state of Oregon, or with other knowlege help me out?

And Brit Wrench, whats the address to the shop your at?

Thanks,

In Oregon, I would....

take you car to RothSport (503) 885 9626. If it is during race season, your screwed because they will be very busy.

Matt, the really good guys are in Portland area...already mentioned, but there is one further South...150 miles or so South of Portland, the small town of Creswell. PCAers in the Eugene area seem to like this place, though I have no personal experience: All GERMAN, 295 N. Mill St., unit 6. Creswell, Oregon phone is 541-895-4800. May your trip be a great one, with no need for any of this info! Best, Paul

As a P-car owner in Portland, I have to say that Steve W is great but he does not usually work on road cars. I use Stuttgart Autotech (503-635-3098).

I would suggest you look up the local PCA regions you will be driving through. Most have web site that list recommended Mechanics.

Another quality shop in Portland is Marque Motors 503-293-5386.

There are other shos around but a ***** to get into, most shops anywhere will help a stranded tourist even Rothsport or they will help you find someone.

Here in the PacNorthwest the Porsche folks stick together cause there arn't very many of us.

Matt just have it checked by MM in CA before you leave, then it should be fine. (Joke) Hope to see you in BC in July
