Heater Hose and York Compressor
My heater hose needs replacement on my 81SC, and I had purchased a Genuine Porsche hose about 15 years ago just for such an event. I never really compared the new hose, but now that I look at it, it appears to be larger than the original one? Was there a different hose for AC cars? It looks like there is an adapter for the smaller hose fitted.
Also, I need to remove the belt and scooch the compressor over to fit the hose. Are there just the 3 bolts holding the compressor sliding plate on? See the pic below:

Wrong size hose. I recall there are three bolts on the steel mounting brackets plus the belt tensioning stud/bolt.

Yes, for the AC-fitted cars, the right side hoses are smaller (10mm) in diameter than the left in order to route the hose underneath the compressor bracket.
Originally, Porsche fitted some adapters, which have become a seldom item. Jens |

Thanks for the replies. I see Pelican sells these. I have the wrong one, but I suppose I can cut it for the lower hose that I am replacing as well.
