K&N carb filters aok confirm

Not looking to start an argument. This is just for watershield K&N filter guys.

When the pro & con issue comes up I may post that the testing of K&N filters is on the bench and not on the car. My issue is that the oil filter functions well when the engine creates a vibration for the oil molecules to clean away dirt etc.

Last spring I did a x-country ride. I'm from a city so I get a kick from the forests. I sleep in them and will ride any dirt road to get where I want to go. My car gets dirty and the engine is often in a cloud of forest dirt.

I'm in the process of getting this thing rolling again and brought the camera down to take pics for when I remove the air filter to document any dirt inside the filter area. I wasted my time as I couldn't see any dirt on my finger. I took a paper towel and tried a wipe. I had to go out into the sun to pick up a very slight tint from forest and road dirt. A picture would document nothing. Nothing to see.

Keeping them oiled is important and I wipe wheel bearing grease on the filter sealing rubber.

Super clean after 10k miles.

Eng was clean before ride.

Good to see somebody _using_ a 911 rather than just coddling it. You go, Ron. I have the same watershields and understand that the important thing is oiling them correctly, whether or not they add 100 hp. And yes, greasing the filter seal is key.
