Fuse Panel Pictures............

I would like to see a close up picture of the primary fuse panels (in trunk) of Porsches from 1965 to 1973. These pictures would help me create an ATO/ATC type fuse panel for these years' cars. A ruler in the picture would help with getting the scale/dimensions correct.

Thanks in advance,

The yellow paint is overspray or thats the way they came.
My fuse block has some yellow paint on the screws and I thought it was overspray.

Does anybody have a picture of the back side of the Porsche SC main fuse panel in the trunk. I understand there are some internal connections, like for instance, between fuse 11 and fuse 12 that carries12 V power from the ingnition switch. That internal link, with corrrosion, could lead to heat build-up and worth.

That is the way it came. we could see that the car had one respray in the original white and no yellow at all. BTW, mine is also a 73.5 T.

The following fuses are jumpered together in an SC. The jumpers are on the top posts with fuse #1 being at the front of the car.

5 - 6
7 - 8
11 - 12
14 - 15
17 - 18

This is correct for the SC model years. Other years are jumpered differently.

Fred,

Here's a few more... some panels will have an 'extra' set of 2 (on the top side) for A/C (red/white)... my fuse covers are a little woogeed with a 10, an 8 and a 3, but it works. The base plates here are 10 / 8 / 2.

kj

yup, '73 w/yellow screws....

Big thanks......

to everyone that has taken the time to post pictures. As in the later year cars, it appears that the fuse panels were changed quite a bit during the years prior to 1974. I will save all of this info and use it as I work my way thru panel designs for the various years.

Fuse panel question for 73.5 911T

Here is a photo of the fuse panel for my 1973.5 911T with A/C. From a prior post, I learned that the top panel of two fuses is for the A/C.

My issue is that the #1 slot on the regular panel does not have a fuse. When I try to insert a fuse, it blows right away. My guess is that since it appears the A/C panel is jumpered off fuse #1, there is something overloading that circuit.

The A/C has been removed, so is there any harm in removing that jumper to see if that solves the overloaded fuse #1 problem?

BTW, I know some of the fuses appear to be incorrect amps - I have new fuses on the way to update to correct amps.

Fred,

The older (non-current flow) wiring diagrams are very good at showing how many fuses are in each section and where they are jumpered. The spacing is very uniform so once you get the spacing, you should be ok for 65 to 73.

Per the Pelican Wiring Diagrams (Pelican Parts - Porsche 911 Parts Listings & Diagrams)

1965 12 fuses w/one box
1971 10 fuses/box 1, 8 fuses/box 2
1973 10 fuses/box 1, 8 fuses/box 2

Add another 2 fuse box for Factory AC.

The red jumper to the a/c fuses would not cause the #1 fuse in the 10 circuit panel to blow.
The problem would have to be with the black wire coming off the 10 circuit board. This goes to the clock, interior lights, luggage compartment light, and USA only buzzer. That is what you will have to check for shorts to ground.
