If only you could purchase a Peter Gregg 935 back in 1979...
Five very lucky individuals get to take delivery of their brand new 2012 Porsche 911 GT3 4.0 Cup cars - painted in the 2011 Championship Brumos livery - in a few days. The 4.0 motor is only available normally to those who race in the Grand AM GT class, which makes these five Cup cars pretty unique/special as they can be used for regular DE events, if one so desired.
If only this dream were possible back in the day with an early RSR or 935: Porsche Motorsport Introduces Porsche 911 GT3 Cup 4.0 Brumos Commemorative Edition | Autobytel.com Some pics from when they first arrived from Porsche Motorsports... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1347326706.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1347326731.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1347326756.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1347326787.jpg |

Nice. Too bad they arent street legal. Now that would be cool! You'd better be a very good driver to show up at a PCA track day in one of these. Expectations would be high in that livery.

Maybe they should each get a 40x50 giclee print of my painting?

Not a 935, but back in 1976 when I lived in Jacksonville, I remember going into the Brumos showroom...sitting there for sale was a pristine '74 or '75 Peter Gregg RSR in fresh, full Brumos livery for the princely asking price of....$25,000.
The top GT racers like Peter had switched to 934's and RSR's could be had at good prices then. If only.... |
Guaranteed "win" at your local DE.
