Analog vs Digital

My old analog dwell meter went missing so I need to replace it.

I have heard good and bad things regarding testing the dwell with the digital vs analog.

I would like to get some opinions please

Thank you in advance for your time and reply

For working with points? Or for CIS mixture?

For working with points.

I'm going to say points based on his gap setting thread for his '76???
I have only used analog so I couldn't judge.

I am leaning toward analog for point/dwell

Yes it is for checking the point/dwell of a 77
